His life is entirely dependent on the high-pressure filtration rig fused to his back; he has breathed refined industrial rot for so long that clean air would likely kill him. On the battlefield, he acts as a living pressure-valve. By pointing his claw, he "vents" internal pressure through his respirator, forcing a jet of concentrated, aerosolized filth through the broken beaker atop his staff. This creates a corrosive, high-pressure fog that melts the seals of Lightborn plate armor and causes lungs to seize with instant black-mold spores.
