The Lorian Bulwark of the Dawn's Break is the first and chief of its kind, a sacred war-relic of the Dawnforged Legions forged in cathedral-fire and bound to eternal service by the dying vow of Saint Loria herself. Of her last words on the field at Ardor, one clause survived the Reckoning unbroken: I will stand against the dark while the dark still has form. The Dawnforged Choir caught the vow in the consecrated plate they had brought to receive her, and the armor has stood ever since.
Every Bulwark forged in the generations that followed is an imitation of this one, bound by lesser vows from lesser heroes for lesser purposes. The Dawn's Break is the original, and the Dawnforged maintain it with the careful, almost embarrassed reverence of an Order that knows it has never made another quite like it.
